Hello, my name is Chris ( Yami ) Miszczak. Creator of Just Weird, r. Let me be the first to welcome you to my little corner of the internet. This web-comic began back in 2001, in the dark month of October. Back then, I really didn't know what Just Weird would become. But I am more then happy to see it as it is today, therefore welcome to the family potential reader.
If you must know, Just Weird is about Chris Naruski ( only based off of me ^_^;; ) and Dark One. These two lovable characters will make you laugh, cheer, and cry as you read on. The basic summary of the story of Just Weird essentially begins with Chris in his depressed state. Like any high school student he ponders about life and about his place in today's world and society. Just wondering just where he fits. Life seems pretty simple until a mysterious person in a black cloak enters his life promising to make his life a living nightmare. Isn't he lucky? On top of that, this capped crusader moves into his house and chaos soon begins.
Everyone always worried about Chris. He had no friends, he isolated himself. But Dark One just remedied that with his darkening presence. All is said and done right? Wrong! Along with Dark Ones intrusion, Two clubs show up to stop and ally with Dark One bringing even more members and excitment into the already unprepared group of friends. A foreign exchange student is forced on Chris by the school and the girl that had an interest in Chris before all of that happened finally reveals herself. Life is just peachy sometimes isn't it?
That's the basic premise behind the story. A pretty good start up don't you think? Anyway, along with Just Weird is my own little history and development. As Just Weird became its own creature, I became my own. Through this web-comic, I found a healthy outlet of my emotions and I discovered more and more about myself and my future.
CAS ( Chris Art Studios ) became a little company of mine when I started making paperback comic books for my local comic book shop to start getting my name out there. Since then, CAS began to grow, and eventual plans will make CAS a huge part of my life. Even the history and readership of Just Weird has its own story behind it and it will also be something that will continue to grow in the near future.
So look around, read the comic, and simply enjoy your time here. If you really enjoy Just Weird then please join the forums as they are free and continue to make your stay here pleasant and enjoyable.
Here is a little explanation to the site and the way it works.
The story of Just Weird is broken into segments for an easier way to create. These segments are called Chapters. Starting With Chapter 0 the sprite comics. Chapter 1 begins with Chris waking up, and they continue a ways after words. With the chapters however there are Also Mini Chapters. These mini chapters are about 2- 10 comics long and hold some form of a story to them. Some of them however hold no great significance to the greater story
There are also a few different types of comics in Just Weird. "Episodes" are comics that string together to form a chapter. There are usually 15-30 in a given chapter. There are also "Filler" and "Special Comics". "Filler Comics" are just random jokes, for the fun of it. "Special Comics" are holiday or other significant day comics. Like a birthday, or Christmas. Aside from those, There are also "Dead Comic Days." Dead Comic Days are literally days where there is no comic. Its Dead!! There is usually just one drawing. This drawing is usually the only thing available for these days. Those are the different comics in Just Weird.
Also for those of you who wish to give fan art or fan driven comics, I would suggest to wait for the traditional Guest Comic / Art Contest. This contest is a great way for the readers to participate and give in their input, while at the same time enter into a competition with each other. Prizes for the winners range greatly each year, so if you would like to particiapte I would suggest to wait for the contest.

8 ) My own profile. Why you ask? Cause I know that a few people like to know about the creator behind the work. I know I did when I was hunting for web-comics.
9 ) The Just Weird forum. This is where the readership of my comic interact with each other the most! A forum for those of you who dont know is basically like a bulliten board online. Its free, and easy to use. Occasionally I post comments or updates here. Be sure to check it out!
10 ) Update Bar. This is usually where I put the most recent "Big update" Like a new page on Just Weird or special comics.
11 ) The company Logo. CAS ( Chris Art Studios ) Mainly there for my own copyright protection and such
12 ) These arrows help you move through the archives of Just Weird. The Right Arrow > moves you forward, The Left arrow < moves you back. The double arrows will direct you eithor to the very beginning of Just Weird, or the most recent comic.
13 ) Progress Bar - This is where I write down the most recent updates in my work. What im drawing, what needs to be drawn, and the date of the next update. I work on the comic in segments called chapters.
14 ) My Rant. Here is where I will bascially give a rant. I will comment about my day, or about my work. This is where you will get some insight on my day or my week.
15 ) Guest Rants are essentially the same as my own rants, but from a reader. Whomever wants to rant can. They really just need to e-mail them to me. If they want there own image above the rant, its approved. But it has to sent with the e-mail. But if they want, I could also do the image for them. Its their choice really. The time usually between guest rants is about a month and a half, this is really the time for other readers to get an insightful view into each others minds.
